Have you ever mixed various sweet drinks, hoping to create an award-winning brew?

Are you one of the curious few who conduct your own “mini chemistry experiments” after completing school practicals?
If your answer to one or more of the above questions is a resounding yes, then Alchemy Club is the right place for you! Here at Alchemy Club, we seek to learn and discover more about Chemistry beyond the H2 syllabus, because Chemistry is much more diverse and fascinating!
Feeling worried as you have many other commitments in JC and have no time to pursue your interest in Chemistry? Fret not, our sessions are held only once per week, every Monday from 4:30pm to 6:30pm!
Alchemy Club sessions are filled with fun and exciting activities that you can look forward to every Monday!
They include:
- Easy-to-understand Lectures! Join us as we explore the Wonders of Chemistry with interactive and enjoyable lectures! Satiate your curiosity as you learn about the strange quirks of drug chemistry and even chemical weapons! You can also participate in Kahoot quizzes to test your newly gained knowledge against your fellow Alchemists!
- Practicals! Have a sweet tooth? Well, satisfy your cravings in our edible Chemistry sessions that include ice-cream and chocolate making! You can also witness quirky chemical reactions, such as the Briggs-Rauscher reaction!
- Chemistry-themed escape rooms, quizzes, games and videos!
- Fun and exciting CCA camp! Bond with your fellow Alchemists through chemistry-themed games, quizzes and experiments!
Through our sessions, we hope to introduce you to the exciting and mysterious aspects of Chemistry! Just like how ancient alchemists wanted to transform base metals into gold, we hope to be able to transform YOU into a curious learner who appreciates the beauty of Chemistry! You are also welcome to share any Chemistry topic that you are very passionate about with your fellow alchemists!
